This week we want to spend some time talking about one of Young Life’s most impressive resources.
No it’s not our “best week of your life” camps and it’s not our impressive collection of ridiculous dress up clothes either, it’s our volunteers.
Our volunteers are miraculous to us, their passion for the work of Young Life and their commitment to authentically reach kids for Christ is a gift we will never stop thanking God for.
They give their time to sit at basketball games, cheering for and alongside high school students.
They spend their lunch hours in middle school cafeterias just to remind students that they care.
They spend their Monday nights hanging out with kids at club in people’s home and over milkshakes afterward.
They spend their evenings and weekends in committee meetings planning fundraisers and supporting leaders.
They give because in their hearts is a belief that this work is important, that this mission rings eternal.
They give because they believe in the love Jesus and the way it heals and free the hearts and lives of the students who meet him.

We are in grateful, reverent awe over the the heart of a Young Life leader and of all those who volunteer their time to support the work and ministry of Young Life.
So we want to spent this week shining a spotlight on some of our amazing volunteers in something that, after this week, will become a monthly column called “Volunteer Spotlight.”
We hope you’ll take some time this week to tune in and maybe add your thanks and appreciation to the mix by leaving love on Facebook or leaving a comment in the area below.
Tell us, what amazes you about the heart of a Young life leader or volunteer?
