Grand Rapids All City Club was a huge success this February! At least 330 students gathered to sing songs, play games, share a meal, and hear about Jesus’s love for them! Schools in attendance include Byron Center, Kenowa Hills, Sparta, Caledonia, Calvin Christian, East Grand Rapids, East Kentwood, Forest Hills Northern, Grand Rapids Christian, Grandville, Potters House, Ottawa Hills, and South Christian. Big thanks to Calvin University for graciously hosting in the newly finished basement of the Hekman Library, to Chic Fil A for expertly catering 2800 nuggets, and to Jake Wielhouwer for generously sharing his gift of photography to capture the fun of this night!
Jared Wohlford, Mission Staff from Northwest Grand Rapids Young Life, shared his thoughts about the night, “For me the highlight of the night was hearing kids sing worship and praise the Lord. Being in a big space with a bunch of kids from other schools can be awkward but I loved seeing the kids with their arms around each other while worshiping! Being up on stage and getting to do program while embarrassing myself and being goofy was also a highlight because I got to see kids laughing and having a good time! A couple of my Young Life guys came and they loved a big club for a chance to meet other people and make new friends!”
