2020 has been a challenging year. Like each of us, kids are dealing with wave after wave of disappointment and loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have felt isolated at home, discouraged about things being canceled, and anxious about the future.
This is what makes the mission of Young Life so essential!
Young Life is out there in the world of middle school, high school, and college students, providing them with a place to be known and belong at a time when they need it most. We share with kids a message full of hope and resilience. One that doesn’t deny this is hard right now, but says, “We will get through this together!”
When it seems like things are falling apart, Young Life leaders show up in the mess with kids, hold space for difficult conversations, and invite them to consider the bigger story that God is writing. We help kids see how in Christ all things hold together (Colossians 1:17).
Thank you for your continued interest and support in what God is doing through Young Life in the Western Great Lakes Region. You play an important role in making all this happen!
